Mediation is simply assisted negotiation where all parties are in a neutral environment. It is an informal process that allows the parties to make decisions and resolve conflict without the court deciding for them. It is a private process and everything discussed in mediation is confidential. Mediation is a much more practical, cost effective and time saving avenue to take.
