State Assisted Mediation

If you are unable to afford mediation you can receive state assistance.  In order for this to happen you must first be determined as indigent by the judge in your case.   This is done by filing a Uniform Civil Affidavit of Indigency with the court clerk.   The judge must approve it and assign me as the mediator before scheduling the session.

Because one party is declared indigent does not mean that the other party is not responsible for their half of the cost of mediation
